Joyful Rise Beta Launches Instagram Competitor Focused on Positive Values in Social Media & 1-1 Human Matching via AI on Positive Values

Nonprofit organization begins beta testing of its iOS and Android platform as it works to create a healthier digital experience centered on compassion and well-being.

CHICAGO, IL, UNITED STATES – At a time when concerns about the effects of social media on mental health continue to grow, nonprofit organization Joyful Rise is taking a different approach. The organization has officially launched the beta version of its mobile app, giving users an online space designed to encourage kindness, empathy, gratitude, and meaningful human connection instead of the negativity that often dominates today’s digital platforms.

The app reflects Joyful Rise’s mission of maximizing positive impact through positive universal human virtues such as compassion and kindness. Rather than relying on content that fuels outrage or division, the platform highlights universal values and encourages conversations that help users feel connected and supported.

The launch comes as studies continue to point to increasing levels of loneliness, anxiety, and depression among frequent social media users, particularly young adults. Joyful Rise believes technology can play a more constructive role by creating an environment where positive interactions become the focus.

A Different Kind of Social Experience

Unlike traditional social platforms that prioritize engagement through controversy or sensational content, Joyful Rise has been designed around positive human values. The app includes a Virtue Feed featuring uplifting content and an AI-powered matching system that matches people who share positive value interests.

The organization says every feature has been developed with one goal in mind: helping people spend their time online in ways that improve their well-being rather than diminish it.

“Social media has incredible power to connect people, but too often those connections are overshadowed by negativity,” said Pardhu (Pardhasaradhi) Namburi, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Joyful Rise. “We wanted to build something that reminds people the internet can also be a place where kindness, encouragement, and compassion thrive. Our hope is that every interaction on Joyful Rise leaves someone feeling a little more positive than when they opened the app.”

University Partnerships

Joyful Rise plans to partner with universities and high schools to white-label the mobile app free of cost so students can build positivity in school. Once the app is considered “successful” they plan to launch it globally for everyone to use.

In addition to university partnerships, Joyful Rise plans to introduce new features over the coming year, including guided meditation on positive values, music on positive values, interactive challenges with badges, and additional wellness resources.

Building a Sustainable Platform for Positive Change

Since launching in 2025, Joyful Rise has made rapid progress in building both its technology and organizational foundation. The nonprofit has secured official 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, assembled a team of experienced advisors from technology, education, finance, marketing, and nonprofit leadership, and completed development of the app’s core features.

The organization has also secured a $10,000-per-month Google Ad Grant, which will help introduce the platform to new users while supporting awareness of its mission.

To ensure long-term sustainability, Joyful Rise plans to pursue multiple nonprofit fundraising opportunities, including philanthropic support, nonprofit grants, partnerships, wellness events, and enterprise wellness solutions for corporations through white-labeling their app.

Looking Ahead

Joyful Rise has set a goal of reaching more than 500 universities and high schools globally by 2027 while continuing to develop features that encourage positive digital habits.

As conversations around mental health and online well-being continue to grow, Joyful Rise hopes its platform will demonstrate that technology can be used not only to connect people, but also to inspire compassion and create more positive communities.
