The acquisition of these assets expands Cinelease’s capabilities and strengthens its position as an entertainment infrastructure platform, providing customers with more of the equipment and services needed to support complex productions, events and large-scale projects. The acquisition follows a series of strategic investments that have expanded Cinelease into rigging, portable solutions, fencing, barricades and other site services. Cinelease is integrating these capabilities under its banner to give customers access to more critical infrastructure through one trusted partner across North America.

The expanded offering includes production supply assets, which will operate as Cinelease Pro Supplies, along with additional communications and grip & lighting capabilities. Recent additions also include the rigging capabilities of C&C Studio Services, now Cinelease Rigging; fencing and barricade capabilities from West Coast Fencing; and an expanded restroom trailer fleet as part of Cinelease Portables.

“Cinelease has spent nearly 50 years earning the trust of the people who bring productions and live events to life,” said Mark Lamberton, Chief Executive Officer of Cinelease. “The acquisition of these assets builds on that foundation, expanding what we can deliver for our customers and making it easier for them to access more of the equipment, services and infrastructure they need through one integrated platform.”

“We see a significant opportunity to build Cinelease into a leading entertainment infrastructure platform. Our strategy is simple: invest in great people and complementary capabilities that make our customers’ jobs easier. Film and television will remain our foundation as we expand across live events, sports and large-scale projects. We will continue to invest in the capabilities that allow us to serve all of these markets at a greater scale,” said Louis Dargenzio, Chairman of Cinelease and Founder of Zello. “We’re grateful for our longstanding partnership with Quixote and look forward to building on that relationship. Quixote will continue to be a market leader in transportation, including its iconic Star Waggons brand. We have tremendous respect for the people behind this business and what they’ve built.”

Cinelease has been actively expanding beyond its traditional film and television business as demand for its equipment, infrastructure and field expertise grows across live events, sports and large-scale media and entertainment projects. The company plans to continue investing in complementary capabilities and expanding its North American platform.
