NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 5, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — LG Electronics USA has unveiled the LG Life’s Good Lounge at Vanderbilt University, a unique new campus space designed to support student life and community. Located in the Sarratt Student Center and equipped with state-of-the-art LG innovations, the 1,200-square-foot lounge provides students, faculty and staff with a place to study, relax, connect and collaborate – reflecting LG’s “Life’s Good” philosophy of creating positive, meaningful moments that bring people together.

Vanderbilt and LG unveil the Life's Good Lounge at the Sarratt Student Center.

The space is the first U.S. extension of LG’s “Another Campus” initiative, which has four university locations in South Korea. Another Campus is LG’s university engagement initiative to support the next generation by enhancing student life through spaces, technology, and programs that promote well-being, connection and personal growth.

“Life’s Good starts with creating positive experiences in everyday life,” said Don Kwack, president and CEO of LG Electronics North America. “We hope the Life’s Good Lounge provides Vanderbilt students with a welcoming space to gather, recharge and build meaningful connections, while supporting the vibrant campus community that makes the university such a special place.”

“LG’s presence at Vanderbilt is what a great collaboration should be: Our students and faculty gain access to a global technology leader, and LG gains a deeper connection to the top-notch talent and innovation on our campus,” said Markus Schreyer, CEO of Vanderbilt Enterprises. “It’s a relationship that we’ve built on shared investment—in Tennessee, in ideas and in each other’s success. This is just the first step, and we’re excited to expand this important relationship.”

The Life’s Good Lounge will be in regular use, hosting activities ranging from student wellness events to community gatherings and gaming tournaments. Opening-day programming included an LG company introduction, employee panel, recruiting event, and networking session.

“The Life’s Good Lounge creates an inviting new space for students to connect, spend time together and build community,” said G.L. Black, vice provost for student affairs and dean of students at Vanderbilt University. “Learning and discovery happen in many ways and in many places, and spaces like this enrich the student experience by bringing students together beyond the classroom. We’re excited for students to make this space their own and for it to become another place on campus where community grows through everyday moments and shared experiences.”

To mark the opening, the university and the company hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Marcus Schreyer, CEO of Vanderbilt Enterprises; G.L. Black, vice provost for student affairs and dean of students at Vanderbilt University; and Krish Roy, Bruce and Bridgitt Evans Dean of the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering. LG leaders participating included Yong Park, president of LG Electronics’ home appliance factory in Clarksville; Woontae Jeong, president of LG Chem Tennessee in Clarksville; and LG Energy Solution’s Hyoseok Park, regional director for the Ultium Cells venture based in Spring Hill.

In addition to experiencing the LG Life’s Good Lounge for the first time, students had the opportunity to explore possible career paths and internship opportunities with the three LG Group companies in Tennessee and LG Electronics’ North American headquarters in New Jersey. LG executives also met with faculty and staff from the Vanderbilt School of Engineering to consider broader collaborations including potential research and workforce development opportunities.

The lounge features industry-leading LG home entertainment and home appliance technologies,  including the LG OLED evo G6 smart TV, LG StanbyME 2 lifestyle TV, LG UltraGear 34GX900A-B gaming monitor, LG Styler® Smart Steam Closet, LG CordZero™ Stick Vacuum, LG Smart InstaView® Counter-Depth MAX™ French Door Refrigerator, LG NeoChef™ Countertop Microwave, and LG PuriCare™ AeroTower™.

Vanderbilt’s Career Closet, which provides students with access to professional attire, will also be equipped with an LG Styler steam closet, allowing students to refresh and sanitize their clothing before interviews, internships and career events.

LG’s collaboration with Vanderbilt builds on the company’s broader commitment to Tennessee, where LG Electronics operates a major home appliance factory in Clarksville.  In addition, Clarksville is home to LG Chem’s cathode battery component plant, while LG Energy Solution’s Ultium Cells joint venture with General Motors is located in Spring Hill. LG Group companies support local communities, workforce development and economic growth in Tennessee. All told, they have invested more than $4 billion and employ nearly 3,000 workers in Tennessee. LG Electronics USA also is an official technology and marketing partner of the Tennessee Titans.
